...Following the DD event in Barcelona came "Creativa", the annual craft and hobby trade fair in Barcelona. It's an interesting set-up because there are sister events with the same name in other countries (France, Switzerland and Belgium), so it brings businessess from out of the country down to Barcelona for the trade fair. This was my first year doing workshops at the event--and a new experience for me to try giving a workshop while being drowned out by the PA system of the near-by "patchwork fashion show", complete with their disco mix of Abba's Greatest Hits...a little tricky to explain "the many intricasies of embossing powder", while attempting to shout full volume overtop of the background noise of passers-by and a circus-tent ceiling. But it's all part of the fun of working at a trade fair, now isn't it!!
I was free to create my own projects for the workshop, so I came up with a Christmas themed tag tryptic project on the one hand, that would introduce people to a little bit of everything (Distress Ink techniques, embossing, working with transparencies, setting eyelets, creating a vintage style) and on the other, 4 different ATCs that highlight the use of embossing powder and techniques. And again, it went well. Most importantly for me, the workshop participants we able to complete the project within the time available, and even better: everyone, no matter their skill level, was able to work comfortably. Major important :)
Here's what we made:

Hey Lisa, sounds like your workshop went well.... It would have been so cool to participate!!
