Happy Friday to you out there!! Nice to have the weekend upon us once again, eh? I hope everything is well in your orbit. We are all healthy and well--last weekend, the tadpole picked up a bit of that fevery-coughing bug, but now is fine...seems to be going around most families around here! We're making sure to drink lots of fresh orange juice and taking our vitamins to keep things at bay...And keeping busy with all of the various activities going on in our family (music, theatre, handball, work, batukada (street percussion--we've got a gig coming up in a couple weeks, playing in our city's parade), and the regular comings and goings at home...
Also coming up to bat is Barcelona's annual Craft and Hobby Trade Fair, "Creativa", in which I will be giving a workshop in collaboration with the Scrapbooking shop, Scrap House.
The 3 hour worshop consists of a home decor patchwork-scrap fusion project, as it uses traditional Scrapbooking material and techniques but also features a "patchwork" style collage work, and works with both paper and fabric.
Here are a few photos:
Last I heard, there is only 1 spot left in the workshop, as space is limited.
On other topics, I'm looking forward to taking my tadpole to the theatre tomorrow, to see "Bollywood Love Story", which is playing until Sunday:
....So how's New Moon mania going where you live? I couldn't resist taking myself to the afternoon session on the day the film debuted in Spain, as it opened here two days earlier than most of the rest of the world.
I was in a theatre full of teenagers, so that made seeing the movie that much more fun. Their comments and reactions were hilarious. My favourite scene in the film was the one that includes the following track (by genious Thom Yorke of Radiohead); I thought the music made the chase scene particularly effective:
Anyway, enjoy your weekend, regardless of whether you are a werewolf, vampire or just a mortal human!!
